Position Overview:
The Commissioning Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all systems and components of an industrial plant are installed and tested according to the owner's or final client's operational requirements. This role involves working closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure successful completion.
Role Description:
- System Testing and Evaluation: Thoroughly test and evaluate mechanical, electrical, and automation systems to ensure they operate as intended.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed commissioning plans, reports, and documentation, including test procedures and results.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to system performance and functionality.
- Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless system integration and operation.
- Training: Provide training to clients and end-users on system operation and maintenance.
- Compliance: Ensure all systems comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial projects, preferably in commissioning, testing, and evaluating manufacturing systems.
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in using project management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) or equivalent are preferred.
- Working Conditions:
- Environment: Work is performed in field settings, exposed to various construction and industrial environments.
- Travel: Main activities will be performed at project sites.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
