Position Overview:
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for turning maintenance needs into safe, detailed, and efficient work orders. The role requires frequent field presence to validate maintenance requests, inspect equipment, and ensure work is properly planned with the right resources and executed at the right time.
We are hiring at two levels depending on experience and qualifications:
- Level II: For professionals with more than 2 years of maintenance planning experience.
- Level III: For seasoned professionals with more than 5 years of maintenance planning experience and advanced expertise in industrial maintenance.
Role Description:
● Conduct field inspections to validate maintenance requests and gather technical details.
● Convert maintenance reports into detailed work orders, including scope, required parts, tools, labor, estimated duration, risks, and safety measures.
● Participate in weekly scheduling and planned shutdown/turnaround activities aligned with production priorities.
● Plan and provision materials and spare parts, coordinating with procurement and stores.
● Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) in CMMS Asset Suite.
● Communicate with leaders, coordinators, technicians, and operators to align priorities and ensure clarity of job scopes.
● Maintain accurate records of planned vs. executed work, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
● Drive safer, more reliable, and cost-effective maintenance practices.
● (Level III only) Take a leading role in turnaround/shutdown planning, mentor junior planners, and provide advanced technical planning support.
Requirements:
● Technical degree in Mechanics or related field.
● Proven experience in maintenance planning within industrial environments, preferably in pulp & paper or other continuous process industries.
● Familiarity with CMMS Asset Suite (desirable).
● Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and OEM manuals.
● Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
● Safety-focused, proactive, and detail-oriented.
Compensation: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
